How to balance yourself with technology

Technology has come a long way since the invention of the abacus; especially in the last century. These advancement have come as a blessing and a curse in which we can find comfort and convenience but in turn lead us astray from well-being and purpose for life. We are in constant contact with computers, phones, cars, television, social media, variety of frequencies and  electromagnetic fields and many other things that have come with living in the 21st century. When we look at all of these things s we must dive deeper into what they could all possibly be doing to us, what effect might they have on us physically and psychologically.

Starting with television and sources of media. It is very well understood that we as humans are quite sensitive to the information we receive and how it leaves an imprint in our minds. People who create media are aware of this, and are very particular in the news that they release to the public, to control perception. If we look at the content on news media ,shows, and movies today, it is very destructive, violent, and vulgar in every way possible. This is because they are slowly trying to desensitize us to all of these things which has an impact on life all around the world.

A lot of technology today has caused us to become lazy, not only physically but mentally as well. Not only do we rely on cars heavily for transportation now, but we also rely on technology to do the thinking for us so much so that we are not flexing our mental and physical muscles to the bare minimum anymore. Constant bombardment from electromagnetic fields and frequencies from phones and routers has a significant impact on human health. A number of studies have been conducted on the impact cellular devices have with humans, especially if you are holding them up to your head.

It is vital that we limit our activity on these devices not only for the physical impact but on the psychological impact they have on us. Often we find ourselves checking our phones first thing in the morning or constantly throughout the day; slowly we are becoming slaves to these devices and big corporations know this. Every time we receive a like, comment, or something similar it is a form of dopamine release and we are becoming ever more hungry, dependent and conditioned to this type of stimulus. I am not saying technology is something that is supposed to be avoided. We have the world at our fingertips, but it is important that we are consciously using this technology and not allowing it to use us. Do not become a slave.
